In the last two posts we have discussed about the Quick-Return mechanism a and the Slider-Crank mechanism. Now if we combine both these mechanisms we get a hybrid of the two to make the shaping machine work. When the above two mechanisms are combined in such a way that an
- An "inversion of the quick-return-mechanism" is used by means of a Rocker arrangement, having a slider inserted in its slot, for manipulating the rotation of the crank.
- The Crank-Slider mechanism is the same i.e. without inversion
The combination of the two makes the system workable and is used in most of the Shaping Machines.
